From President Desk

This is great pleasure for me being elected President of District Education Society Durg which is registered in the year 1945 for running educational institutions. At present this society is running Three Colleges. First college is Seth R. C. S. Law College, Durg. This college started in the year 1962 after receiving huge donation of 50000/- from Smt. Shakher Bai Surana wife of Danveer Seth Ratan Chand Surana of Durg for opening Law and Commerce College. As desired by the donar after starting Law college, the society opened. Second College named as Seth R.C.S. Arts & Commerce College and third college is opened in the name of Seth Badrilal Khandelwal Education College after receiving huge donation of one building worth about 7 lacs from Smt. Khandelwal.

 This society is also running two Higher Secondary Schools named as Dau R. P. National Higher Secondary School Kasaridih ward Durg (C.G.) and Shahid Bhagat Singh Higher Secondary School at Titurdih ward Durg.

 Out of these five institutions both schools and Seth R.C.S. Arts & Commerce College are getting grant from Govt.

 It is well known to all teachers, staff and students that Seth R. C. S. Arts & Commerce College and other institutions mentioned above are governed and regulated by the District Education Society Durg. All the teachers, employees and students co-operate each others to run the institution smoothly. All teachers always help the students not only in their studies but to enlarge their talent and to build their career. Large number of students of this institutions have achieved important position in the field of Politics, Commerce, Judicial services, Trade and many other fields of society, state, country and abroad. Out of all the institutions Seth R.C.S. Arts & Commerce College has earned many goodwill, name and fame in the field of education, sports and other social activities and the students are eager to take admission in this college every year. In this college Govt. has started NCC & NSS wings also for the students.

This college is having many subjects e.g. Commerce (up to PG level), Economics, Political Science (up to PG level), Sociology, Hindi, English, Library Science with PG, Computer Science & Physical Education.

 I assure those students who are thinking to take admission in our institutions they will get success in future in their own field and get name and fame by their hard labour and skill and will help our state of C.G. and country to develop and prosperous.
